Size Your Own Equipment

Sizing your system is easy. All you need to know is your blown down rate. Absolutely nothing else—not even geography, type of water, tons of cooling, cycles of concentration or average temp difference—needs to be considered.

Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor:
Simply calculate annual gallons of blow down to find the corresponding annual pounds of Smart Release^® inhibitor needed.

• 125,000 gallons of annual blow down = 1 box (25lbs)
• 250,000 gallons of annual blow down = 2 boxes (50lbs)
• 500,000 gallons of annual blow down = 4 boxes (100lbs)
• 1,000,000 gallons of annual blow down = 8 boxes (200lbs)
  

Biocides
Simply calculate annual gallons of blow down to find the corresponding annual pounds of Smart Release® biocides needed.

Non-oxidizing biocide:

• 200,000 gallons of annual blow down = 1 box (12lbs) of BioBrom C100G SR*

Oxidizing Biocide:

• 125,000 gallons of annual blow down = 1 box (10.8lbs) of BromiCide SR*

Feeder Equipment:
Determine the number of feeders required by calculating the maximum monthly peak blow down rate for a 30 day time period. Then, select the feeder that accommodates the required inhibitor usage.
